Course Summary

Learn from an osteopathic physician, Dr. Todd Bezilla, DO. Todd will provide you, in this 3-day course, an immersive hands-on Osteopathic exploration into clinical assessment and treatment.  The attendee will have the opportunity to experience and apply safe, effective, and efficient high-yield methods of assessment and treatment for the entire body.  In addition to lectures and laboratories on Osteopathic assessment and treatment, there will also be live demonstration.

Course Objectives, Purposes, and Relevance

This course will provide education in the philosophy, methods, and applications of safe, effective, and efficient clinical Osteopathic assessment and treatment methods.  After completion of the course, the attendee will be able to apply these methods with their clients/patients so that they may experience improved clinical outcomes. This course is mostly practical. 

TOTAL CEUs EARNED at the end of the course: 21h.

Skills That Will Be Acquired

After completion of this course, the attendee will have improved knowledge and application ability of Osteopathic assessment and treatment methods.  This will include improved critical thinking regarding interpretation of clinical findings and responses, as well as improved manual assessment and technique application skills.

Specific Equipment

Participants will need to wear clean, comfortable, loose clothing that permits easy movement and access to the skin.  Participants should also bring a towel or table covering for personal hygiene purposes.  Computer projection, tables, chairs, and a dry-erase board will also be needed.

2nd Edition of Holistic Manual Therapy and Osteopathy, by Todd Bezilla, D.O.  *This is not yet available as of May, 2022 – but it should be available before the course is to be taught.

Learning Methods

The education is provided using multiple mode methods including visual, oral, and manual (tactile) modalities.  Demonstration and hands-on practice with guidance is used.  Question and answer with repetition of important concepts is also used.

This course is designed for the Osteopathic manual practitioner / educator / clinical faculty, as well as students of Osteopathy in clinical training.
