About the event

In this Master Class, Pascal JD Grolaux, BSc, DO, MOst. will instruct you to understand how a specific osteopathic approach, patient-centered, can help your patients suffering from chronic pain syndrome.

We will review the physiology of pain and how chronic pain is a complex disorders involving the biopsychosocial model.

Indeed we will review the link between neurology and immunology as explained in the post found on the Resources page. You will understand of pain is modulated by the brain and how the autonomic nervous system influences the immune system and vice and versa. You will understand how works the Central Autonomic Network via complex short and long reflexes that are connected to the gut and the heart.

Importanly, you will be able to see how your specific osteopathic treatment influence objectively the autonomic nervous sytem balance through heart rate variability analysis.

At the end of the courses you will be able to offer your patients suffering from this debilitating condition an osteopathic approach that will consider those mentionned reflexes and connections, as well the biopsychosocial model, in a patient-centered approach.
